Welcome Home, Mr. Rosenhaus

Drew Rosenhaus is back in Philadelphia.  Make sure to give him a good Philly welcome.  Unfortunately, he isn’t here to visit the Liberty Bell, Pat’s or Geno’s, or even to reminisce over at T.O.’s old driveway in Moorestown.

Why is he here?

Next question.

Rosenhaus has been hired as the new agent of disgruntled cornerback Lito Sheppard.

From Les Bowen’s article in today’s Philadelphia Daily News:

“We have signed Lito as a new client,” Rosenhaus said after a meeting with the Eagles at the NovaCare Complex. “I’m trying to keep somewhat of a low profile. We’re going to keep everything real positive. I’ve had a lot of positive dealings with the team recently. I’m confident that we’re going to find a mutually beneficial solution to this situation, and we expect things to move in a positive direction.”

Given Rosenhaus’ history I can’t see why that wouldn’t happen as planned.

Now, this will not become a T.O. situation because Sheppard is not like Owens.  Sure, he wants to get paid like every player.  However, the addition of Drew Rosenhaus to the equation means that there will be more headlines and reporters camped out at Lehigh to get the latest tidbit of news.

It’s a good thing the Spectrum doesn’t close until 2009 because the circus is back in town.
