Burrell Loses Final Vote, May Still be All-Star

Pat Burrell did not win Major League Baseball’s final vote despite strong efforts from Philadelphia fans.  Corey Hart and Evan Longoria are the two ‘final vote’ winner.

However, Burrell’s chances of making his first All-Star team are not done.  Cubs outfielder Alfonso Soriano will not play in the Mid Summer Classic due to injury which could cause NL Manager Clint Hurdle to add another player – maybe Pat Burrell.

    Hurdle already picked his boy Matt Holliday to be on the team. Which is a complete joke, his numbers are nothing above average this year. It’s his way of getting back since poor Matt didn’t get MVP honors last year.
