Flyers Schedule and Best Fights
The NHL released the schedule for each team this year. The Flyers will open at home on October 11 against the New York Rangers. The Flyers will face some early tests with a tough opening month. The Flyers first eight games are against the Rangers, Canadians, Penguins, Avalanche, Sharks (twice), and Devils (twice).

Talks with A’s for Blanton Heat Up
According to ESPN Insider, the Phillies and A’s are coming close to a deal that would send starter Joe Blanton to Philadelphia. Blanton was discussed in a similar deal last year at the deadline.
